Who's a silly pony? AJ marks the halfway point to my primary milestone of completing all of the "Mane 6" in Minky.

Experimented with satin-stitched embellishments. No hat at the moment - couldn't find one that fits, so I'm going to try my hand at ghetto hatmaking sometime soon.

As usual, pony bodies descend from *valleyviolet's pattern.

Edit: Took some pictures with my light tent. Only had 2 lights so not as good as it could be, but still better than the previous lot.

Another Applejack plushie! So cute! I've been seeing so many of them and I'm like "All these plushies I can't have are putting me in misery!"

Gorgeous work! Really clean and neat. I especially love the eyes. Did you create the embroidery pattern yourself?

Thanks, and yep :)

Sorry, I realised afterwards that was a dim question (especially after I saw your journals talking about it). So I'll just say it's a great inspiration to me to learn the skill myself. :)

haha nah I didn't think it was - can't really expect people to research anyone thoroughly. Machine embroidery and digitizing are easy once you get the hang of them. Hope to see more of your work!

Hope so! I've been looking up tutorials on DA and youtube to get an idea of using them. Have you tried out that SophieSew one that someone recommended to you? I was thinking I'd give it a whirl if the free version of Era Universal was going to be discontinued.

I tried SophieSew along with other solutions, but still prefer Stitch Era. Stitch Era's interface far outshines the others, and offers something I think only Embird does through an additional plugin - Illustrator import. I prefer to use Illustrator to block out the colours before importing them to Stitch Era since its vector tools are more precise. I'll probably pay for Stitch Era once the free version discontinues.

Illustrator is a fav program of mine. Being able to import files from it would be excellent!

Although I must admit, I'm still in the process of deciding what machine to go with. So many to choose from and a heap of information about them all. I'm searching through reviews before I hand over any cash.

I was reading the description and lost it at "ghetto hatmaking".
Anyways, adorable! ^-^
