7 mane and 4 tail iterations on the mannequin later... my first truly complete pony - Pinkie Pie!

Made with cotton flannel
Eyes and cutie marks are machine-embroidered
Pony pattern modified from :iconvalleyviolet:, and thanks to :iconeebharas: for the continued advice :)

Did you hand embroider the detail on the tail and mane? If you did it with the machine I totally worship you!

It's just a straight stitch on the machine... definitely easier than hand-embroidery :P I worship folks who can and have the patience to hand-embroider!

You make it so flawless!! You throw a curve at me while sewing on the machine and I end up with a 90 degree angle!! XD Great job either way and we shall both worship those who hand embroider!

It helps to have a good sewing machine - I used to sew on a Singer Classic (full analog) and I reckon I wouldn't have the same kind of control I have with my current Brother LB6800PRW/SE-400.

Doesn't Violet's pattern have darts where the back joins the front (from what I've seen of others' creations)? Did change their locations, or completely take them out?

Yeah it does - you can see a little crimp where the dart is on the 2 bottom pictures. Keep in mind I've done some tweaks, so not everything would be verbatim to the original pattern.

Ahh, I think I see them. Rotated to a > almost? I'm surprised, the fabric hides it very well in the picture. It's very nice work.

Hey!

Very, very nice! Which parts have you modified? I wanted to go from violet's pattern too and wanted to do some modifications myself.
