Twilight Sparkle by thurinus Twilight Sparkle by thurinus
Finally found some time to whip up another pony - Twilight Sparkle! Just in time to make her a Christmas present to myself. :P

Additional minor edit to the base pattern to tighten the face's profile shape - I noticed that the last few minky ponies looked a little chubby due to the knit stretch.

Pattern modified from *valleyviolet's

Your plushies look identical to the 4DE ones. Do you work for them or do you base the style off of them or anything? Regardless, still amazing.

No to both, and "identical" might be too absolute (and wrong) a word to use - try "similar". My stuff evolved from valleyviolet's patterns and observations of other people's work.

This is great work here. I'm also using Valley's pattern.
I have a question if you don't mind me asking; How did you figure out her mane? I'm having a heck of a time with it.

I just started with a base pattern roughed out from paper towels and iterated on the design with fabric, pinning each iteration on the mannequin pony I made some time back to test-fit before sewing them into the seams on the actual pony.

Good gravy, paper towels? :iconrdwtfplz:
Regardless, thanks for the tips. I actually should make a mannequin, considering I don't really have material to spare. Now that I have that, all I need to do is getting over procrastination...

Don't sew the paper towels! I just use them for rough sizing. The real tests should be done with fabric.
